Fatuma Murray

Executive Director, LCSW-R

Fatuma Murray, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned a BS in Human Development from Binghamton University, an MSW in Social Work from Yeshiva University, and partook in Post-Master's Training in Advanced Clinical Family Therapy from Hunter College, the Ackerman Institute, and the Minuchin Center for the Family. She also earned several coinciding certifications, including two regarding sexuality and gender relations from the Harvard Medical School and the National LGBT Health Education Center.  

Fatuma has more than 17 years of clinical experience and has worked with a broad spectrum of patients in various settings including hospitals, community mental health centers, child welfare agencies, schools, and private practice. She has provided high-level counseling services for all ages, ranging from various mental health disorders, family conflict, and stressful life transitions, all of which have been proven to foster personal growth, healthy coping mechanisms, and inspire rooted self-awareness.  

Fatuma is extraordinarily passionate about her role as CTS Director and is devoted to raising the standards towards supporting families and individuals in crisis caused by behavioral setbacks. She plans on doing so through expanding the CTS’s mission for excellence and leveraging her innovative visions to drive CTS to obtain new levels of future program success that clients, the team, and the community can benefit from.
