Ba’sim earned his Doctorate from St. John Fisher College in Education, his CASAC from Lehman College and his Master’s in Social Worker at New York University. He is experienced in individual therapy, trauma informed therapy and family therapy. Ba’sim has a therapeutic focus in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Ego-Psychology, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy modalities to assist one in managing symptoms related to anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance abuse disorder and other mental health issues.

Ba’sim specializes in domestic violence cases and is certified in Non-violent Conflict Resolution. He is committed to supporting the mental health needs of marginalized communities and has been working with adolescents and local youth for many years to improve connections impacted by poverty, neglect, abuse, and substance abuse.

Ba’sim’s approach is to create a safe, supportive space where client and clinician travel together on a road of self-discovery healing, encompassed within a strong therapeutic alliance.
